Teacher Commands: Snapshot / Screenshots
Using Snapshots, you can quickly document when a student is off-task or on a site they shouldn't be. Snapshots are saved along with other past session data on the classroom's Sessions tab. This setting can be located in your Teacher account on teacher.goguardian.com
In this article, we will be addressing GoGuardian Teacher command of capturing a snapshot and the following:
- Capture a snapshot
- View screenshots from a current session
- View screenshots from a past session
- Save screenshots from your Google Drive
To take a snapshot:
- Click the screen of the off-task student
- Hover over the screenshot
- Click the camera icon
Where are my screenshots?
To view screenshots from current session:
- Click the Timelines or Screens drop-down menu in the top right corner
- Click Snapshots on the drop-down menu
- Click Download Snapshot to save to your desktop
To view screenshots from a past session:
- Select your classroom
- Click the Sessions tab
- Click the Session in which the snapshot was taken
- Click the Snapshots tab at the top left of the classroom session. It should be on Timelines by default.
- Click Download Snapshot to save to your desktop
Saving Screenshots to Google Drive
To save screenshots to your Google Drive:
- Select your classroom
- Click the Sessions tab
- Click the Session in which the snapshot was taken
- Click the Snapshots tab at the top left of the classroom session. It should be on Timelines by default.
- Click "Save to Drive"
(Note: If the primary account is changed in the resulting popup the snapshot will not save properly to your Google Drive. This is due to a Google API limitation.)
